The draw for the 2026/2027 Indonesian League Cup has officially been completed, setting the stage for the return of the competition after being absent since the 2018/2019 season. Organized by I.League, the tournament features 38 clubs from the Super League and Championship divisions, with the participating teams divided into 12 groups across the Western and Eastern regions. The draw was conducted during a live broadcast on I.League’s YouTube channel, with PSSI and I.League officials, along with former Indonesia internationals Ponaryo Astaman and Firman Utina, involved in the process.

The group stage is scheduled to begin on November 3, with each club playing two matches, consisting of one home fixture and one away game. Only the group winners will advance to the knockout stage, where teams from different regions will meet. Meanwhile, Persib Bandung and Borneo FC have already secured places in the quarter-finals after finishing first and second respectively in the 2025/2026 Super League. The group draw now gives supporters a clearer picture of the road ahead for major clubs such as Persija Jakarta, Persebaya Surabaya, and Arema FC as they target a place in the latter stages of the revived competition.
